New Faculty, Dr. Flammer, Joins Global MBA

Dr. Caroline Flammer joins Kean University's Nathan Weiss Graduate College as an assistant professor of management. Previously, she was a visiting research fellow at the Economics Department of New York University. Caroline Flammer received her Ph.D. in economics and an M.S. in business administration and economics from the University of St. Gallen, as well as an M.A. in secondary and higher education with qualification to teach business, economics and law, from the University of Zurich.
Caroline Flammer is the recipient of a research fellowship awarded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Her research is devoted to the fields of international finance, including aspects of international business and cross-cultural management. A main theme of her research is the design of business models in developing countries depending on cultural characteristics. In March 2009, she published a book on the sustainable financing of education in developing countries.
Throughout her time in academia, Caroline has made a strong commitment to teaching excellence. She has taught management, economics, mathematics, and statistics at prestigious European and U.S. universities, including the University of St. Gallen, the University of Basel, and the Stern School of Business of New York University.
