2010 travel learn trip to Argentina- Buenos Aires

Every spring vacation the GMBA and EMBA students have the opportunity to be a part of a Global Business Travel Learn trip which is a special class of Global MBA program at Kean University. It provides students a real-life international business experience in some of the most fascinating and growing emerging as well as developed markets. This year, our department had planned going to Chile. Unfortunately, due to the massive 8.8 earthquake of Chile, we had to change our destination to Argentina.
There are 22 students participating in this program. This trip included visits to local and multinational businesses (such as Ford Argentina subsidiary, Grupo Assa consulting firm and Bodegas Norton wine company), also lectures by local experts from industry and academia. Students have the opportunity to meet and network with local managers, entrepreneurs and MBA students. Furthermore, they can participate in cultural activities such as taking tango dancing lessons, enjoying a traditional barbecue, visiting “Estancia La Candelaria” (Argentina famous country house), experiencing the Kayak, and watching a professional soccer game… We had a wonderful time to travel and experience the most famous Latin-American city-Buenos Aires, “Good Air” so that most of us said “let us have one more travel learn class”.

The followings are some wonderful pictures by taken during the trip. Besides, we still created the blog on the right side. If you’re interested, please look at it.

  2. Hey, it does seem like you are having fun! It`s nice that you not only go to major companies to learn business but also visit an Estancia, watch a soccer game or enjoy a tango show. Because once you go to Argentina, you won´t wanna leave. It`s magical and has little details that make Buenos Aires an extremely fun and developed city. I believe that everybody should
travel to Argentina at least once to see the beauty of this country and to appreciate the humble warm personality of its citizens.
